To New York - Hamburg American Line

The Hamburg-America Line was established in Hamburg, Germany, in 1847, as the Hamburg-American Packet Company (Hamburg-Amerikanische Packetfarhrt Aktien-Gesellschaft or HAPAG), sailing between Hamburg and New York, via Southampton. The Hamburg-America Line played a major role in carrying immigrants to the United States from Germany and other parts of northern Europe in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
